This is the story of a mama dog and her miracle baby. Mom, a Shih Tzu, fell pregnant with a Labradoodle dad and because dad was so much bigger than mom, the size difference made the pregnancy extremely dangerous. Mom had to have a C-section just to bring her babies into the world. It was touch and go the whole way through and when it was over, only one puppy survived. That puppy was Minka.
Tiny and fragile in her first days of life, Minka was too weak to nurse and needed to be bottle fed just to survive her first week. But she was a fighter. Slowly, she grew strong enough to nurse on her own, and today she is absolutely thriving. Both Minka and her mom were rescued and cared for by ICARE Dog Rescue, whose dedication made this miracle possible.
And the ending? As perfect as it gets. Minka was adopted by the TM Crew, who gave her a home full of love and adventure. And Mamacita found the best family imaginable a forever home she more than earned after everything she went through.
